The Position: We are seeking a part-time Bookkeeper for 10-15 hours/week.

We are open to providing flexible work hours to meet the needs of the employee. The pay range for this position is $15 - $17 per hour based on your skill set and experience.
Responsibilities: The core duties of this position include the following:
Purchase supplies and equipment as authorized by management.
Monitor office supply levels and reorder as necessary.
Pay firm invoices and expenses in a timely manner as it comes due for payment.
Issue monthly invoices to clients.
Monitor client monthly payment plans.
Ensure that receivables are collected promptly.
Record client payments and make bank deposits.
Conduct a monthly reconciliation of firm bank accounts.
Conduct a monthly reconciliation of firm trust account.
Maintain an orderly accounting filing system.
Process payroll in a timely manner.
Provide clerical and administrative support to management/attorneys as requested.
Comply with all federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
The Location: Westshore Law is based in Spring Lake, Michigan, and serves Newaygo, Muskegon, and Ottawa counties.

Desired Qualifications: The Bookkeeper candidate should have an Associate’s degree in accounting or business administration, or equivalent business experience, as well as knowledge of bookkeeping and generally accepted accounting principles. Preference will be given to candidates with a working knowledge of QuickBooks Online, Microsoft 360, and Rocket Matter.
